IMPORTANT MESSAGE

To all:

I am sure all of you have realised that if you do not come for training, your parents will be notified. This is a measure taken to prevent your parents for misunderstanding that you are in training when you are not. For example, Koh Nai Kee's parents thought that their son was in NCC training but he was not. Instead, we had other excuses like, hand injured, out in Century Square. Such things cannot be tolerated!!

CCA Training is like your studies. If you do not come without any reasons, is counted as truancy. And the outcome of the offence is suspension from school. This is not a hoax. This is the truth. This calling of parents is just a small measure taken. Official school letter will be issued to parents this coming Monday.

Thirdly, if there is any unhappiness, you may find me in school and then we talk, in the presence of the other SPECS and teachers, to be fair.

Overall, this measures is taken for cadets who did not come for training. For example, NCC Cadet Weisheng did not come for 7 out of 10 Trainings for 2 months. I hope all of you can understand. Times has changed. In the past we have not taken such struct measures does not mean we will never do it

TO Part A Cadets:

Tuesday Training

There will be NCC training on Tuesday, 11 July 2006. Training will start at 3pm sharp. Attendence is compulsory. The attire is P.T. kit.

Instructions for Part A Cadets:
There will be Trainfire for the Part A Cadets. You are only able to leave the classroom at 1pm sharp. Your teachers will be notified. You can wear or bring your No.4 to school. At 1pm, you are supposed to report to 2SG Edmund Teow in the canteen. Attendence is compulsory. You should be in your full No.4 uniform. Please also bring your consent form on that day. You will be allowed to put your bags in the NCC room. However, please bring along your valuables. You are excused from Tuesday training as you are going for the Trainfire. Please note the following pointers.

Pointers:
1. DO NOT BRING CAMERA PHONE. If you bring, surrender it to 2SG Edmund Teow.
2. Go to the toilet before going to the Trainfire as it is unlikely that you are able to go there.
3. Listen to instructions which the CLT there said. And do what he/she says.
4. Take down notes, as you will be tested.
5. When the CLT or any Sir(s) ask for volunteer(s), please be sporting.
6. You are supposed to march when you are in HQ. Therefore march properly and do not disgrace us.
7. If there are any questions, please ask.
8. Be serious.

NCC Camp will be on the 19-21 June 2006. Cadets are supposed to report at 7am sharp with their No.4 Uniform. Cadets should bring along a total of $15/- for the camp fee, and also their consent form. Cadets not going will also need to return their consent with a replied "do not allow". Cadets who have doubts about their camp items may contact your PS, or any I.C. Cadets may also write up to the forum, write to the tagboard, or email us at nccdamai@yahoo.com.sg. Please rest well and try to finish your homework before the camp.

CCA Stand Down

A Lesson to Learn

Recently, one of our Secondary 1 Cadet was knocked down by a car because he was chasing a friend. Witnesses said that he had fractured his leg. This means that he will not be with us for future trainings already. I hope that this will be a lesson and a reminder to all cadets to look out for themselves and not think that everywhere is a safe place. For now, we could only hope that he will have a speedy recovery. Please go to our forum and put down your well wishes. We are also conducting a popularity survey to see who would want to visit him in the hospital. The closure of this survey would be before Friday, 14 April 2006.

This Week Schedule

There will be a full dress rehearsal on Thursday, 30 March 2006. Those involve will have to bring their full no.4. There will not be any training on Friday, 31 March 2006. However, those who are interested to participate in the Inter CCA Games, you might want to stay back and practised. It is not compulsory. We advise you to bring your p.e. attire and your own sports gears(eg.:basketball, badminton, etc.) Part Bs are suppose to bring their money for the canoeing course upon receiving their certificate tomorrow, 29 March 2006.

Training Next Week

There will be no training next Tuesday, 21 March 2006, however training is as usual on Friday, 24 March 2006. Please bring only your P.E. shorts and a T-shirt which will be issued next week. There is no need to bring your no.4 uniform. Training will start as usual, 2.30pm.
To Speech Day Contigent Participants:
Be prepared for rehearsal next week. Please do not bring your half no.4 uniform. You may want to bring a P.E. T-shirt to wear on the rehearsal. Date of rehearsal will be said at a later notice but it will most probably be on Tuesday, 21 March 2006.
